Museums and arts in the Adirondacks

In the the center of the natural and social history in the region - and home to some of the most celebrated and unique attractions in the Adirondacks. Each year, visitors and residents revisit the past at Adirondack Experience, The Museum On Blue Mountain Lake. Known as the "Smithsonian of the Adirondacks," the museum's extensive campus is the hallowed repository of our most cherished stories, offering exhibits, interactive displays, events, and workshops.

Nearby, the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts carries on the creative legacy of the Adirondacks' artisan craftsmanship and performing arts. The center offers an array of events, workshops, and theater. Watch Shakespeare, re-imagined and performed outdoors, or take a workshop on filmmaking or oil painting.
