Old Forge Library Partners with RT Federal Credit Union for Special Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy Event

Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy Program at the Old Forge Library

The Berenstain Bears Financial Literacy Program will offer an engaging story time and meet-and-greet, designed to introduce young readers to important financial concepts in a fun and memorable way.

During this free event, children will enjoy a special story hour featuring The Berenstain Bears Visit the Credit Union. The book, read by a representative from RT Federal Credit Union, follows Brother and Sister Bear as they learn valuable lessons about saving, spending, sharing, earning, and understanding the role of a credit union.
Audience: Children in kindergarten through third grade.
The event will also include a special meet-and-greet with Brother and Sister Bear, providing an exciting photo opportunity for children and families.

“The Berenstain Bears series provides a fantastic platform to teach kids about essential financial principles in a way that is both enjoyable and easy to understand,” said Elaina MacKenzie, Director of Education & Outreach at RT Federal Credit Union. “We’re thrilled to bring this program to the Old Forge community and continue our tradition of offering fun, educational opportunities for families.”
