About the Event
Like traditional Irish Road Bowling, the event is played on a country road with multiple obstacles such as turns, inclines, ruts, etc to make the game more challenging!
Each team consists of four players. Two teams are matched up at a time to begin play. Each player rolls a bullet, which is an iron ball about the size of a bocce ball, using an underhanded technique. After Player 1 from each team takes their turn, all players move forward to the spot where the bullet landed. Player 2 then rolls from that location, and this continues for all players.
Once the first two teams have cleared the play area, the next two teams are brought in to begin their turn, similar to teeing off in golf. Each roll counts towards the team's total, and the team with the fewest rolls upon reaching the finish line is declared the winner.
In the event of a tie, the last roll of each tied team is measured, and the team whose roll traveled the farthest beyond the finish line wins the tie.
