Experience fall in the Adirondacks!
Fall may just be the best time to visit the heart of the Adirondacks. The days are warm, the nights are cool, and the dramatic autumn landscape creates the ideal backdrop for an Adirondack adventure to remember. The biggest question to ask is, what kind of adventure are you looking for?
Top autumn adventure picks:
- Leaf peeping is a must. When the autumn hues of reds, oranges, and yellows paint the Adirondack landscape, getting here is half of the fun. So on that note, we recommend you plan a few extra hours (or days) to tour your way through the scenic byways that lead you here.
- Take on the Hamilton County Fire Tower Challenge. Who doesn't love a good challenge? When it comes to finding the perfect fall challenge, few stack up to the rewarding quest of the Fire Tower Hiking Challenge.
- Get on the water. While fall may mean that swimming days are now behind us, it doesn't mean that there still isn't plenty of water fun to be had. Paddling, boating, and fishing on the ample supply of lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams are some of the best ways to experience the vibrant reds and oranges as they reflect off of the cool blue waters.
