Old Forge Library's Annual Community Poetry & Art Contest and Exhibit
The theme of the exhibit in 2025 is "Gratitude"
- Thursday, February 27 at 5:30 pm
- Opens with an award presentation and reception.
- The Friends of the Old Forge Library will host the reception and provide refreshments.
- The reception is open to all and the community is invited to attend.
- Poets and artists from this and surrounding communities who have won awards and honors will be announced during the reception.
- Entries were received from Herkimer, Oneida and Madison Counties and the Town of Inlet.
- Participants whose poems and illustrations win a prize or receive an honorable mention in their categories will have an opportunity to read and/or discuss their work.
The exhibit is a long-standing library tradition and has always been a community favorite.
If you are unable to attend the reception, please stop by during library hours to view all the local talent on display and to vote for your favorite entry.
The “Gratitude" exhibit will be hung by Friends of the Library and will remain on display in the library wing through April 25.
The judges for the poetry exhibit are Doug Davis and Ruth O'Lill. The judges for the artwork are artists Kristin Martin and Kelsey Mayo .
